SAN FRANCISCO, June 16, 2012 – Napa, California. The mere mention of the name brings to mind rolling vineyards, award-winning wines, and some of the best restaurants in the country. While the city of Napa itself is not widely known for these things, the downtown is experiencing a total revival. In Part Three of “Top 10 things to do in downtown Napa”, learn about Numbers Two and Three on the list: divine dinners, hip wine bars and other late night treats.
2. Divine Dinners
Living in San Francisco and reading the already great reviews that come out of Napa, I had high expectations for the food. I was certainly not let down; every meal I ate was impressive. Whether your tastes run to Italian, sushi, Spanish, or good old American/Californian cuisine, there is something for you in Napa. A few favorites are:
Eiko’s Modern Japanese Cuisine
Oenotri (Italian)
Tarla Mediterranean Grill
3. Hip Wine Bars & Late Night Drinking
In the past, much of Napa would shut down when the wineries closed for the evening. There wasn’t much else to do outside of grabbing dinner, until recently. Downtown Napa now has a pulse after 9pm, thanks in large part to the hip new wine bars and late-night drinking establishments that have been popping up.
Number One on this top ten list is yet to come. What will it be? Stay tuned!
